Buying Heavy Jori Clubs Overseas is a PROBLEM

PROBLEM #1 - Moisture

Timber that originates from countries with high humidity that are closer to the equator will have a high moisture content.

Unfortunately, clubs made from timber with high moisture content will dry out and in most cases crack in a less humid environment.

The clubs will also become lighter as the moisture evaporates.

In cooler climates, the moisture content is less of an issue, in saying that, green timber (freshly cut) should be avoided and good manufacturers kiln dry wood to avoid moisture problems resulting in new clubs cracking and splitting.

PROBLEM #2 Shipping

Jori clubs are huge, bulky and very heavy, the sheer size and weight of traditional Jori clubs is an issue which and makes them very expensive to ship worldwide.
